We are Karen and Meg.  Karen grew up on a farm in Gobles, MI.  Karen enjoyed participating in concert band and marching band throughout high school.  She attended college at Grand Rapids Baptist College in Grand Rapids, MI, which is now known as Cornerstone University.

At college she met her husband (Meg’s dad), Steve.  After their marriage, they lived in Grand Rapids for 20 years.  They loved to work with the kids in the AWANA program at their church.  They moved to Dowagiac, MI in 2010.  I, Meg, was going into 8th grade that fall.  I followed in Karen’s footsteps by loving band as well.  I played (and still do play!) the flute just like my mom and also enjoyed playing the piccolo.  Currently, I am a college student at the local community college.  I am also in the symphonic band.  I am loving it.  I plan on graduating with a certificate in Office Assistant/Specialist.  I will not further my education at this time.  I do plan on getting at least a part time job after college, while hopefully taking a couple bible classes and working on this blog.  😊  At this time, I also have a job at the college as a student worker in the school of business and teach flute lessons as well.  I have played flute several times in church and have worked at a flute camp as a counselor/flute instructor.  As you can see, I can never get too much music in my life.
We are so excited to start this blog and hope that you’ll follow along with us!  Feel free to leave us a comment so we can get to know you as well!
